In the collaboration with Clarks, Daley designs a new Wallabee profile - which inspiration from his British craftmanship, pulling upon his Central Saint Martin’s training, whilst incorporating authenticity, diversity, through the use of bespoke textiles and complex finishes to nod to his own Jamaican Scottish roots.
The Clarks Originals x Nicholas Daley Wallabee, is a Contemporary update of the Clarks authentic moccasin Wallabee silhouette with a blue and red tartan patchwork design, it has a combination of premium smooth suede, waxed leather, and hairy suede – unique leather stitching to the vamp and heel, - completed with a unique flower fob with Clarks Originals x Nocholas Daley branding and tartan fabric lace as well as alternative tonal flat lace options.
Daley said on the partnership, ‘‘Clarks is a British brand which is close to my heart - its such an honor to launch my collaboration with them during their 200year anniversary. Having Jamaican decent makes it even ore more special, my grandad used to wear Clarks, he made shoes in Jamacia and was passionate about this footwear”.
